Hi, I'm Danae Brooker, founder of TerraPawz—but before that, I was just a dog mom fighting for Luna. When she was diagnosed with diabetes and I learned I'd be giving her insulin shots twice a day for life, I was devastated.
Then I discovered the treats I was rewarding her with after each shot were filled with sugar and fillers—making her condition worse. I wanted to give her the longest, healthiest life possible, so I teamed up with my sister-in-law (a 30-year vet tech) and a pet food scientist. Together, we reimagined treats with thoughtfully chosen plant-based ingredients like turmeric, flaxseed, and chia seeds—functional nutrition that supports daily wellness while still tasting amazing.
We tested them with senior rescues at Frosted Faces Foundation. When they couldn't get enough of them, I knew we had something special.
